Management Guidelines
Mycogen® brand BM3 BMR hybrids are bred for highly digestible stover and grain components; a planned fertility program that provides adequate N, P and K throughout the season is highly recommended.
Best performance when placed on soils with good water-supplying capacity, unless irrigation is an option.
Solid plant agronomics will support moderate to moderate-high plant densities; avoid very aggressive plant densities.
Consider the use of a foliar fungicide when significant leaf disease pressure is expected.
Monitor harvest moisture closely as harvest approaches; hybrids may be drier or wetter than physical appearance indicates.
When storing BMR hybrids in a pile or a bunker, recommended moisture levels for harvesting range from 66 percent to 70 percent; for bags, 66 percent to 68 percent.
Works well in continuous corn or noncorn rotations.
