Management Guidelines

  • High-yielding TMF silage hybrids are bred for high stover and grain components; a planned fertility program that provides adequate N, P and K throughout the season is highly recommended.
  • Semi-flex ear type supports variable planting densities; optimum performance achieved at moderate plant populations.
  • Intermediate gray leaf spot tolerance — will benefit from a foliar fungicide.
  • When storing TMF hybrids in a pile or a bunker recommended moisture levels for harvesting range from 65 percent to 68 percent; for bags 62 percent to 68 percent.
